$30,000 Bad Beat Jackpot (Straight Flush!)
Posted on 02 March 2022
How It Went Down:
The hand starts off with Player 1, holding 9h8h, opening up the action from the Button to $30. Player 2, holding 3h4h, calls from the big blind. The flop comes down favorable for both hands; 10d 5h 7h. Both players flop a straight draw with a flush draw, and Player 1 continues their aggression with a bet of $75 in green chips. Player 2 elects to raise to $300. With around $1500 in their stack total, Player 1 decides to move all-in and is greeted with a call from Player 2. The runout comes: Jc, and….. the 6h! Player 1 has a straight flush to the 9, while Player 2 has a straight flush to the 7.
Both players proudly show their hands, just to find out that their opponent is much stronger than they initially thought. It takes a bit of time, but the entire poker room finds out that the $30,000 bad beat jackpot was just hit! Player 1 takes the pot, while Player 2 takes the majority of the jackpot… we would definitely call this a win-win situation in No Limit Texas Hold ’Em Poker! Just like we promise here at Toronto Poker Game, the players are paid out the bad beat jackpot in less than 30 minutes.
A hand for the books here at Toronto Poker Game.
